We are enjoying a quiet Happy Christmas at home. I recently returned from a three week trip to Indonesia where I was able to assist with a project for Mission Aviation Fellowship.
Giving One’s time in this way isan honor and Joy. I turned 64 while away. God’s special gift to me – an adventure. He knows how much I enjoy this kind of thing.
I pray the same for you and your family. That special gift that satisfies the soul. The one that perhaps, no one knows because you have not given it voice. That moment of knowing you are seen, heard, valued and loved when the unexpected desire is full fulled.
So as you enjoy your version of the Holidays here are a few thoughts:
“Christmas is not a time nor a season, but a state of mind. To cherish peace and goodwill, to be plenteous in mercy, is to have the real spirit of Christmas.”
“Christmas is a day of meaning and traditions, a special day spent in the warm circle of family and friends.”
“Christmas is a necessity. There has to be at least one day of the year to remind us that we’re here for something else besides ourselves.”
Charles M. Schulz
“Christmas is doing a little something extra for someone.”
“At Christmas, all roads lead home.”
Happy To Be Home
Even though I completely enjoyed my adventure serving abroad, I am glad to be home with my husband and cats to celebrate the season.
May each one who reads this find their way to the ultimate home, in the arms of a Loving God who gave His most precious gift: His Son, Jesus Christ.
